Privacy policy
I take good care of your data, and of your photos. This page explains what I collect, why I do so and what your rights are.

Who I am
This website belongs to Rick de Jongh Fotografie, Hilversum (KvK 80591310). I am responsible for processing the personal data on this site and in my work as a photographer. Questions? Email [email protected].
What data I process
- Contact form: your name, your partner’s name, email address, phone number, wedding date, wedding venue, your message and how you found me.
- Bookings: the details needed for the quote, the agreement and the invoice, such as name, address and contact details.
- Photos: the images I take during the assignment.
- Online gallery: your email address, your favourites and which photos you download.
- Technical data: for the contact form and the gallery I store your IP address and browser details to prevent abuse and spam.
What I use it for
- To get in touch with you and prepare a quote.
- To carry out the assignment and deliver the photos through the online gallery.
- For my accounts, as required by law.
- To keep the website and the gallery secure.
I only use photos of your day in my portfolio, blog or on social media if you give me permission. You can withdraw that permission at any time.
How long I keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to a booking: up to two years after our last contact.
- Agreements and invoices: seven years, as required by Dutch law.
- The online gallery: for as long as the gallery is online, as agreed when booking.
Who I share it with
I never sell data or share it for advertising. I do work with a few service providers: for hosting the website and database, sending email and storing photos. They are bound by agreements on keeping your data secure. Where a provider is based outside the European Union, this happens with the safeguards the GDPR requires.
Cookies
This website does not use tracking or advertising cookies. The online gallery remembers in your browser that you have entered the PIN, so you do not have to log in every time. If a blog post contains a YouTube or Vimeo video, that party may set cookies once you play the video.
Security
The whole website runs over a secure connection (https). Galleries are protected with a PIN, and only I have access to the admin area.
Your rights
You may view, correct or delete your data. You can also object to its use, restrict it, request a copy to take elsewhere and withdraw any permission you gave. Just email [email protected]; you will hear from me within a month.
Not happy with how I handle your data? Please let me know first so we can sort it out together. You always have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Changes
I may update this privacy policy. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
