Terms and conditions

Article 1: The assignment

1. Rick de Jongh Fotografie will carry out the assignment to the best of his knowledge and ability, in the style in which he usually works, and will deliver good craftsmanship.

2. Rick de Jongh delivers the photos in his own style.

Article 2: Photographer

Rick de Jongh brings professional and backup equipment to capture the couple’s wedding day. Rick de Jongh will be at the locations well on time and will not leave earlier than agreed.

Article 3: (Deposit) payment

1. All amounts include VAT, unless agreed otherwise.

2. The wedding date is definitively reserved once the deposit of 25% of the total amount has been paid. This invoice is sent after the quote has been accepted.

2. Rick de Jongh Fotografie sends the invoice for the amount due within 1 week after the wedding.

3. The couple has a payment term of 14 days from the invoice date.

Article 4: Photos and delivery times

1. Within 48 hours after the wedding, Rick de Jongh Fotografie sends an online gallery with 15 to 20 edited photos, the ‘first look’ impression of the day.

2. Rick de Jongh delivers the number of photos described in the chosen package.

3. Rick de Jongh Fotografie works with an estimated delivery time of 5 weeks for the photos + the mini album.

4. Rick de Jongh Fotografie delivers the edited JPEG files in an online gallery, from which the photos can be downloaded in the highest quality.

5. After the photos have been delivered, Rick de Jongh Fotografie makes a first design of your large album, if agreed in addition to the chosen package. You receive it digitally within 14 days after the photos have been delivered.

6. The couple may adjust the album until it is to their liking, in a maximum of 2 rounds of revisions.

7. After the couple’s approval, Rick de Jongh Fotografie sends the album to the supplier. The album arrives at the couple’s home within 4 weeks after approval.

Article 5: Cancellation and suspension

1. If an invoice is not paid within the payment term, Rick de Jongh Fotografie may, after informing the client, suspend all work for the client until the invoice has been paid.

2. If the couple cancels the assignment, Rick de Jongh Fotografie is entitled to keep the deposit.

Article 6: Copyright and privacy

1. The copyright of the photos always remains with Rick de Jongh Fotografie. The couple may use the photos freely, and for commercial use in consultation. Crediting ‘Rick de Jongh Fotografie’ is greatly appreciated.

2. The photos may not be edited further.

3. Rick de Jongh Fotografie will under no circumstances make personal data public or pass it on to third parties.

Article 7: Illness

1. In case of serious circumstances or illness that truly prevent Rick de Jongh Fotografie from carrying out the assignment himself on the wedding date, he will send a photographer who works in the same style. The photos are always edited and delivered by Rick de Jongh Fotografie.

In that case the couple also has the right and the choice to dissolve the contract. The deposit will then be refunded.

Article 8: Portrait rights

1. Rick de Jongh Fotografie and the second shooter retain the right to use the photos for their own promotional purposes and publications, including (but not limited to) the website, portfolio and social media.

2. Rick de Jongh Fotografie and the second shooter may use photos for photo competitions and publications in magazines.

3. The 2 points above apply unless agreed otherwise, which must be done in writing (by email).
